I use Remember the Milk[1] and it has served me well for the past couple of years. I started off with the template presented in this post[2] from the RTM blog and it's a great basic implementation of GTD.

The advanced search functionality to combine items from multiple lists into a single view is my favorite feature. The keyboard shortcuts, quick entry and iOS/Android apps make it so that it's always easy to input something into my trusted system, whether I'm near a computer or on the go.

This isn't the first product he's been involved with at Facebook. He also shipped Graph Search last year.

The Design+Code deal links to dealroundup.io instead of designcode.io.

Thanks, that's fixed now.

I can also vouch for LightPaper. The live preview is useful to check whether I messed up with my Markdown formatting somewhere.

I use a combination of Remember the Milk for recurring tasks with Trello for managing tasks and projects. I try to apply a GTD methodology on Trello boards and I like the results thus far. Trello is really flexible, has a simple basic interface, but also a lot of (optional) depth for power users.

awesome sauce... thanks.

As someone working in enterprise, this manifesto sounds almost exactly like how we use Agile here. The term "Agile philosophy" (instead of methodology) was coined to go with our loose interpretation of what Agile should be.

If you want a more structured introduction to hardware hacking, UTAustin is offering a MOOC called "Embedded Systems - Shape The World" that starts on January 23, 2014 and puts a heavy emphasis on hands-on labs. The platform used in the course is based on the Cortex M4 ARM chip and the board is made by Texas Instruments.

I also use the GTD method, but with Remember the Milk instead of Evernote.

Here's a good blog post that shows how to implement the GTD system with RTM: http://blog.rememberthemilk.com/2008/05/guest-post-advanced-...

RTM has a web app for regular browsers and mobile apps for both iOS and Android. There is also an extension called "A Bit Better RTM" for Chrome/Firefox that adds nice tweaks to the web app.

You could try doing the Matasano crypto challenges which don't require any previous crypto knowledge and are a hands-on way of learning it.

There's also a MOOC on Coursera by Dan Boneh that is all about cryptography. Next session starts on September 9th.
