Down here too.

API seems to still be up, but Stripe's dashboards appear to be down, along with support.

Also commented here (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23504979), but looks like they're back up already.

Yes, Stripe fully recovered as of 23:52 UTC (https://twitter.com/stripestatus/status/1271592337940951041).

Is Slack's status page down as well? I can't reach https://status.slack.com/

same here (mid-Atlantic, Verizon) edit: although I am now able to chat on Slack with some colleagues, the status page is still down for me

2017 has been an intense, yet extremely rewarding year to say the least. This year I learned the meaning of "grit".

- Launched my startup on Product Hunt (https://www.producthunt.com/posts/slackpass-2).

- Interviewed with YC, sadly didn't make the cut.

- Had hundreds of of calls and thousands of chats with founders looking to create paid communities.

- Helped many create their own profitable, paid communities.

- Became a solo founder.

- Became profitable enough to cover both business and personal expenses.

- Rebranded to LaunchPass (https://launchpass.com) due to inevitable trademark issues with the use of "Slack" in our name, and plans to expand beyond Slack. (btw Slack has been awesome regarding the transition)

- And plenty more I intend to write about in a "year in review" post I'm working on.

Becoming a founder this year was one of the most challenging, fascinating, and deeply rewarding experiences I've ever had.

Here's to a happy, healthy, productive, and successful 2018

Happy New Year HN!

The challenges I've had with outsourcing been due to outsourcing prematurely. Similar to premature optimization. Until I've spent significant time in a role, outsourcing it tends to create more work than it saves.

As a happy Notion user I'd like to hear this as well!

https://slackpass.io

It's the missing invite system for Slack.

Let's anyone create invite pages that can accept payment (monthly, one-time) for access to a Slack community.

It's been a blast to work on. Learned React, Redux, and got into Flow and Tcombs while building it. Interest so far has lead me to realize more people are interested in creating private/paid communities online than I had previously expected.

Thanks for checking it out. That video is normally the background of the page. It's not intended to be watched directly.

It seems to load normally in Firefox on Mac and PC. I'll check it out on Linux and fix it asap.

I must get too much spam. I first read this as "in", instead of "to". Darned priming.

Chiang Mai, Thailand

I was wondering why this wasn't one of the main options listed ;)

South East Asia is there, isn't it ;)

HN meetup in CM anyone?

I love Chiang Mai, especially the Pai area... I'd like to return someday...

Woot! :)
