It hasn't been released, this is just a leak

On reddit I see it's already available on cursor

Interesting, it doesn't show up for me in Cursor yet.

you need to manually add the custom model gemini-3-pro-preview

1) New SOTA models come out all the time and that hasn't killed the other major AI companies. This will be no different.

2) Google's search revenue last quarter was $56 billion, a 14% increase over Q3 2024.

1) Not long ago Altman and the OpenAI CFO were openly asking for public money. None of these AI companies have actually any kind of working business plan and are just burning investor money. If the investors see there is no winning against Google (or some open Chinese model) the money will dry up.

2) I'm not suggesting this will happen overnight but especially younger people gravitate towards LLM for information search + actively use some sort of ad blocking. In the long run it doesn't look great for Google.

No, you suggested that LLMs are clearly eating google's lunch already, and there's just no evidence of that. Quite the opposite.

These threads always give me deja vu. I've been reading these exact comments for a decade. Only the version numbers change.

But yes, I'm sure any day now.

I live and drive in NYC, and this is utter bullshit. To the extent that it's difficult to drive here, it's because of assholes who think they deserve to cut the line and fuck it up for everyone else.

Please stop driving here, you clearly aren't qualified to do so.

Come to the dark side.

This sounds like AI slop.

Rather than the sarcastic non-answer, you could just respond to the question as asked.

Is this an official goal, or at attempt to handwave away the fact that we seem to waste trillions and decades to get anything done?

You would be hard pressed to find an official document that says it bluntly, but analysis of the situation makes it clear.

A majority of voters elected Trump, while Ackman failed to influence the mayoral election with his money.

And Trump did it with dramatically less campaign money than Hillary or Harris.

Gee golly, really!? Thanks for letting me know, I had no idea!

I could've also mentioned Ackman personally calling Trump in 2020 to beg him to shut down the economy for a month and my argument would be just the same: I don't want billionaires using their money to shape the world to their liking.

Good for you, I don't want bureaucrats wasting 50c on the dollar to give back what they take. You vote for what you think is right, I'll do the same.

100%. I got laid off from my big tech job earlier this year and decided to use the opportunity to go full-time on my side project. After six months or so, it’s going amazingly well in terms of revenue growth, and I’m on track to support my family in NYC within the next six months. I really couldn’t be happier about how it’s going.

However, it’s also been much harder emotionally than I thought. Part of it is the pressure (I also have another kid on the way!), but it’s also just the loneliness. No one to really collaborate with, share wins and losses with, talk me down when things aren’t going well, etc. I applied to an incubator more for the social / cohort aspects than the funding, but I ultimately turned it down because some of the terms just felt too expensive.

I ended up starting a mastermind with some friends, AND joining a paid community for B2B saas founders. It’s OK so far, only been a couple weeks, but I’ve got to do something. I didn’t realize how hard this part would be!

What about the real estate cost? I loved Sydney when I visited earlier this year, but real estate seems more expensive than my home city of NYC, and that's really saying something.

She's not just as corrupt, but she is definitely corrupt. Those trades have to be disclosed, but she gets 45 days to do so, and it seems blindingly obvious that she's using insider info to front run the market. It's disgusting, and I say that as someone who loathes Trump and is unlikely to ever vote for another Republican again after the last decade. That doesn't mean Pelosi isn't corrupt, it means our system allows for corruption.

I never said she isn't corrupt but insider trading has been a talking point long before this unprecedented corruption we're seeing in the Whitehouse. These whataboutisms are pointless and disavowing the behavior literally does nothing unless the other side clearly disavows their leader (Trump) which they have yet to do.

I'll take Republicans/MAGAs seriously in their supposed effort to "drain the swamp" when he is held accountable.
