If you like Svelte, Yuzu Health is hiring developers to work in Svelte in New York City. https://yuzu.health/careers/senior-software-engineer

Seems like the number of companies using Svelte in production is growing but still not super high.

Russ - can you please explain the rationale for "In person NYC 5 days a week" and that it's non-negotiable? It seems that you're restricting your talent pool in a labor market that prefers remote work. Given that the Svelte talent pool is smaller as-is, this is counter-intuitive.

Presumably because whoever's in charge decided that's how they want to run their business.

How dare they? Oh, no, why wouldn't they think of the labour market?!

How much do we need to pay this guy to quit software and just make jokes?

This guy is an icon.

i feel like their humor would drop if they lost touch with their real jobs. but also they prob need to do a lot of work to reassure their coworkers that specific parodies of them are off limits or something

Not sure he's actually /in/ software, but you can still pay them here: https://www.patreon.com/KRAZAM

Not sure if he still is, but definitely was. Many of his videos are filmed in the Amazon NYC office.

He left Amazon a few months ago to do a job where he could spend more time focusing on Krazam! Check out the Patreon! They are both getting super serious and are hopefully going to put out more great content soon!

I'm surprised he got the go-ahead from Amazon to film there

Haha. You're also looking to make the leap from engineering to comedy?

You made me laugh. I think I love you.

It's actually two guys as far as I can tell, but yes, they are definitely awesome.

Yeah, from their Patreon "We’re Ben and Shiva, two friends/mid-level software engineers who have been making dumb stuff together for over a decade."

I saw he was doing a standup set in New York and I was very tempted to undertake the trip to see it.

saw it. lets just say they have a lot of fans but they're better youtubers than live comedians (for now)

IMO it was super good for a first shot! They way over did the software that they used to present the show, but I was super impressed with the polish! I have a feeling they will grow to be much better after some practice!

I don't know how much good content they can sustain full time, but 25 videos in 7 years is not enough.

I heard that this business unit turned into 3Ms healthcare data analytics business partially because healthcare customers kept buying floppy disks after everyone else stopped. https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/health-information-systems-us/dr...

I love this. My coworkers and I call ourselves glasseaters since we're all so scrappy.

The guy who started this translation project (per the wikipedia) was himself a startup founder https://www.linkedin.com/in/emollick/.

We're building a modern health plan for startups that doesn't suck.

Software is eating the world. Healthcare is eating the economy.

If you want to be a part of this battle while also not being a part of the "middleman" (e.g. price transparency venders), come join us at Yuzu Health. We are hiring for a senior engineer to help us build a modern health plan tailored to the needs of startups and their employees.

I do find redux super helpful for undo/redo (as mentioned in the article) and have not found a similar library for another state management solution that can do quite what I need there.

You probably know it, but a friendly reminder: undo is just a callback doing a backwards operation, in an array named “undo stack”.

this is awesome, if I didn’t have the M1 I bet I would need this given how many tabs I always have open…
