And on M5 Safari 26, jacking the samples/pixel setting up high seems to trigger a system reboot, which is most curious

It all depends what you’re optimizing for.

Clearly, when you don’t transfer indexes, you will not have to transfer as much data.

However, the tradeoff is that the database is going to have to do more work to regenerate those indexes when you reconstruct it from the text dump at the destination (as opposed to the case where the indexes were included)

Couple of minor bugs, one of which is arguably not a bug: 1. When you play a game for the first time it invites you to make an account. When you make an account, it seems to forget that you played that particular game already. 2. By manipulating the URL you can play games from the future.

I like the calendar where you can go back to play other days. Enhancement request: would be nice for this to have an indicator of which days you have already played.

that's a great point! thanks a lot

It seems not to accept a correct answer, "ladel" for Wednesday, March 26, 2025 (minor spoiler, apologies!)

"Ladel" isn't actually in the dictionary:

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ladel

https://www.dictionary.com/browse/ladel

https://www.collinsdictionary.com/us/spellcheck/english?q=la...

OED has it as an incorrect/unusual variant:

https://www.oed.com/search/dictionary/?scope=Entries&q=ladel

It's misspelled constantly on the internet, but "ladle" is the correct spelling.

Ah, fair enough! Thanks

The limiting time factor for me was the clicking around on the page. Allowing keyboard input somehow would be a plus.

Hah, yes.

"Mostly Harmless" did have this on the front:

"The fifth book in the increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhikers Trilogy".

> I think these are the possibilities:

> Theanine works, but I got fake theanine. <…>

I’d add one more possibility: “Theanine works but I need a higher dosage to feel the effect.”

FWIW my purely anecdotal findings are that supplier does matter. Natural Factors Suntheanine gave me a noticeable effect. Nature’s way L-Theanine did not.

I used to take theanine in college, and this was my experience even over a decade ago.

Suntheanine was consistently effective and most of the other brands were seemingly inactive or unnoticable. I've always had to order online as all of the brands I've bought in store seem to be bunk.

Even still I found tolerance to rise quickly with daily theanine use.

OP took 200 mg. Tea contains 5–20 mg and people commonly report beneficial effects from tea. If 5 mg is enough for some people then surely 200 mg would be enough for anyone?

Not necessarily, there are a lot of drugs that have reduced or no effect for certain individuals. Think caffeine or alcohol tolerance.

I thought I was crazy/imagining things, but I had a similar experience. Maybe I should try Suntheanine again

Here's the thing (which you probably knew going in).. Generative AI is quite well-known to be terrible at drawing specific times on clock faces.

This is down to the training data. It has been trained on a huge amount of images.

That includes advertising. For whatever reason, wrist watch manufacturers have a tendency to set watches to 10:10 in ads, almost without exception. Perhaps it's just a nice-looking time, or it's good for comparison purposes.

Simply Google "wrist watch" and you'll see.

So, these generative models have a huge bias towards 10:10 on clock faces, because that's what all the clocks they've been trained on look like.

Can it be made to output SARIF (Static Analysis Results Interchange Format)?

This would increase the value as the results would be easier to integrate with other tools (for example, you can post SARIF to GitHub).
