Is there a manufacturer you prefer over others in the budget segment?

Hanwha A Series cameras. They are relatively new may be hard to find online yet.

Didn't know about Hanwha, thanks. Looks like the A series isn't even on their European website yet though :(

This page might help fill in some details: https://www.hanwhasecurity.com/products-page/security-camera...

Hanwha was previously Samsung Wisenet?

Correct, Hanwha has been independent of Samsung for many years now though.

I haven't finished it but I started playing Sable for a bit. There's no attack mechanics at all and it's fun to explore. The art style is also very nice to look at IMO.

I'll second the vote for Sable. No violence. A youth on a journey, with unique graphics (debugged since the initial release). A story to uncover. Not the largest open world, and it'll take 20+ hours if you complete all the tasks. Steam.

This was improved in a recent release. Did you try with the latest version?

We are using Basecamp as a team and have been really happy with it. I think their free tier should work well for a single person and I could see myself using it if I was working solo.

I want to use Elixir more for my side projects but it's honestly really easy to get going with services like Vercel or Netlify and SvelteKit. Also coming from Next.js and SvelteKit, I got kind of used to the file-based routing and it creates some friction for me when trying to use Phoenix.

I want to contribute some sort of guide to the community for people coming from JS metaframeworks, rather than Rails/MVC frameworks, but I feel like I need to use Phoenix more first. I'm just about finished with Sophie and Bruce's book!

I'd highly recommend Pragmatic Studio's Phoenix LiveView Course - https://pragmaticstudio.com/phoenix-liveview

I wrote LiveViewJS while taking this course believe it or not.

If I recall correctly, Saša Jurić mentioned in an interview that he envisions the BEAM being used as an OS in the future, where you can run your database, web server and other services under one VM.

While I don't personally have much use for it (at the moment), I'm curious about how this would look like with Lumen [0] where you can run your whole web stack with a single binary and being internally supervised by the BEAM.

Lumen's development has been slow but I remember seeing a tweet from a team member stating that development is slowly ramping back up (not a criticism in any way, just providing some context).

Also check out the Sawbones podcast about it! https://maximumfun.org/episodes/sawbones/sawbones-man-who-at... It goes a bit more in depth.

I made a purchase with my MIL's credit card on my account. It got blocked because of the name mismatch and they asked for bank statement for proof. The card got stolen in the meantime, my MIL lost the last bank statement for that card and she didn't have access to online banking.

They said they couldn't do anything unless I submitted the bank statement with the CC number. I told them to just delete all the cards from my account but that wasn't an option either.

That was around 5 years ago and I still don't have access to that account and I'm expecting to never be able to get in again.

Fly posted a sort of related blog post about IPv4

José Valim (creator of Elixir) will be streaming his solutions on Twitch. Thought that might be interesting for you.

I started doing mine in Elixir last year but it was a very steep gradient combined with everything else going on in life. So excited to hear this! I will be watching every episode for sure.

could you provide a link? Having trouble finding

Beautiful, thanks!
