Hehe, just tried it with today's word and it made me laugh out loud. I guess that at the time the OP posted this, the word was more kind to his solution. :)

It's a good starter for today's wordle. But the flaw in this strategy is that the letters can often be out of place, making the final guess much harder.

yeah, have to remember that 'Q' and 'P' aren't used, which comes into play about once a week, as was likely the case for that Wordle, assume result was 'spill'

& definitely works for today to solve quickly

fair - base assumption is rearranging letters is fairly quick if decent anagrammer / scrabble player, even accounting if p or q used

I lost the game and it seems there's a bug in the stats. Cool idea tho! As a person using the terminal all the time, now I have one more thing as an excuse to procrastinate while pretending to do some actual work. :)

I won the game and the stats were buggy for me as well. Still fun!

dang, my bad. I did a pretty quick (and large) refactor this morning and must have broke it.

EDIT: it fetches historical games when the session is established. The bug is that after you complete the game, the call to renderStats is still using the old games list; it needs to refresh the list so it includes the game you just completed. I'll fix this over the weekend. Cheers!

Laravel. You'll get a lot of plug n' play stuff within its ecosystem. The community is at this point massive, so there's no doubt it will stick around for the time to come.

It's not a no-code solution, but the shallow learning curve will allow you to get up to speed in no time.

You're not you when you're hungry.

Indeed. We find it normal after all that people resort to cannibalism when they're too hungry and it has happened many times throught history.

If he felt he was starving afterall he's in the same condtition.

Brings a whole new level of hangry. There's so many "I'm so hungry..." quips that have always made me raise an eyebrow in the "wtf does that mean?" level of oddness. Some of the things in this wiki article topped the strangest of what I had heard up until then.

the poultices got me

I am a practicing Markoist. I don't have any children, mostly living my life in solitude. Every morning I wake up, I feel different. Sometimes I think about killing myself because this shit doesn't make sense. Sometimes I hop out of bed feeling excited about everything, and I go out and do exciting shit. I believe in myself. I believe in finding the answers within myself. That's why I'm a Markoist, a religion named by the name my parents gave me. I think it's no different than any other religion I have encountered; this is just one I can own. I have a lot of extraordinary rituals I came up with. I do them daily.

I respect others, and all I want in return is the respect back.

I believe that Daimler, Porsche, and other players in the automotive industry are looking for people with the skillset you possess.

Autonomous vehicles are all the rage now, and I think you could find a job in that space pretty instantly.

check out bosch too

Are they desirable employers?

They pay well and some people do like it there - even some who work on software, recently (car software is traditionally quite awful). Mechanical engineering and such might be the best technical jobs there for now.

I wouldn't say it's risky. Never mind what people think about Bill, and what he's into currently, but I definitely consider him a hacker!

Having said that, I didn't read the book. Thanks for the recommendation!

Funny, someone just reached out to me on Twitter and recommended that same book! I guess I know what I'll be doing over this weekend. :)

But, based on the fact that the author offers 'happy' movies if you're feeling sad, he would probably provide some movies that would try to stop you from being horny. :) Now, the question is - what kind of movies can make you stop being horny? :)

What if he needs to pull some changes he needs to continue with his work?

You can merge from anywhere, not just Github master. It's a little more work, but a coworker could share their repository without much difficulty. You can even apply patches sent over email, if you're so inclined.

All legitimate solutions, I agree. The thing is, it really sucks when this happens over the weekend. Alerting a colleague in their off-hours to be able to continue with your work is not ideal. Of course, it happens rarely, so you're making a good point. If it happened weekly, that would be another story. :)

Then a local git instance would preclude him from needing or receiving those changes anyway.

Hmm, I think we understood 'local' as two different things. I understood it as a self hosted git server, like on premises in parent's company that he and his colleagues would use. Now that you mentioned it, I'm starting to think I understood it wrong.

Nope, I may have misspoke, but I meant self-hosted git instance in the intranet.
