I was a bit surprised how much metadata Apple includes for this shared picture (in some of the XHR responses). Not only your email address (the same that's on your HN profile so I assume that doesn't hurt) but also what seems to be your device's name ("i" followed by a part of your last name) as well as what looks to be a unique ID of your device and your timezone (are you GMT-6?).
Wow, you're not kidding! I've never used it before but was frustrated by how broken my other choices were and didn't realize how bad that could be. (First choice: imgur. No longer supporting upload from mobile without their app and mandatory sign in. Second choice: DropBox. Their extension is broken and it saved it as a PDF. Then it saved it as a PNG explicitly but the app was making it too hard to get the direct link to the image without using their share sheet and specifying an email address to send to.)
(I am indeed GMT -6, for at least some chunk of the year anyway.)
Often times (in the US) the 90 days notice doesn't mean anything badge/credentials wise. You are walked out that evening (sometimes supervised) and your credentials are revoked asap.
Severance is pretty common, and some companies will just keep you technically employed (and thus paid, and even given health insurance) with no expectation of you doing work or coming into the office. Three months is definitely on the generous side, but not that unusual from what I've seen and heard.
Yep. Severance is pretty common when employees are "laid off" i.e. their employment is terminated not because of employees fault. And generally, you are informed of it, and your credentials and such are revoked almost immediately.
Quite different from when you voluntarily leave, when you give notice and do knowledge transfer and such. I imagine that is because the employee is unlikely to do anything bad, since they likely have a better future.

Exactly! Especially if you're using modules that include some sort of binary and build your function on macOS it's a pain -- I ended up using a Docker-based workflow to get the correct binaries into the node_modules.
My guess is it's because 5ghz WiFi is regulatory hell. I honestly can't think of a good way (off the top of my head) to make this easily usable for international users without making it
a) easy for them to interfere with primary 5ghz users
Or
b) making multiple boards with an extra ROM chip ($$) telling people not to export them to other countries.
At least with 2.4ghz you can just stick to lower numbered channels.

They seem very clear about how dangerous the thing is, so unless you're absolutely and utterly certain that it's completely safe, keep away. Don't add more casualties.
