AWS has always made the expert “UI” first priority by providing APIs and tooling. The on boarding experience for those who hadn’t transitioned to devops yet seem to be a much lower priority for AWS. I find the opposite to be true for Azure and GCE.
This is a confusing sentiment to me. GCP APIs also come first. I don’t even think the UI is possible without them. Can you name a product where this is not the case?
Well the point being that the smartphone market is suffering from poor alternative.
If so many people here seems to believe that neither iOS, nor Android, provide both flexibility and privacy they seek market opportunity might be ripe for new competitors.
The issue is that new competitors have to go against... Apple and Google. Given what happened to Epic (retaliation on Unreal Engine after #FreeFortnite), you can be sure that any competitor which would get a little bit of traction would be hammered into the ground by some Apple/Google money-powered shenanigans.
That said, from a citizens standpoint, if the government is going to only pick one, I can’t imagine it not being AWS. The difference in capability and capacity isn’t within an order of magnitude.
