To me, this is more like "maybe hold off on buying a vehicle for just a bit longer until we got our shit in order (and know exactly how much we can charge you)."

And all the big automakers have been saying exactly that for almost ten years now

Ah no, their argument is because she signed up for a one-month free trial of Disney+ in 2019, she agreed to arbitration for her death in 2023. So by their metric it doesn't matter if you cancel, you're still bound to that if you visit Disney IRL.

She didn’t even sign up. It was the husband who signed up.

You know, there's 3d models for the expansion cards, so you can always just design your own LoRa expansion cards, probably (or get someone else to do it)

And if, for example, my Switch breaks, or Nintendo shuts down whatever online stuff they got, and I still want to play the games I own? Sometimes an emulator ends up being the only answer.

You're not wrong, but to be fair, Switch offers a decent offline only experience. So in that scenario Nintendo would like you to get a new Switch or to buy a game cartridge. For many cases, especially Nintendo exclusives, this would work.

TLDR: Google is bad, here's how to delete your Google account. BTW, looking for a better google now? Use our stuff since we just convinced you to delete your Google account! "Ditch your spam filled mailbox and delete Gmail now! We have a better alternative - Tuta Mail."

Yeah, something tells me they're not completely altruistic about this even though I get where they're coming from.

Imho they are selling their service by making clear what their USP is.

I don’t see anything wrong with that.

Are they lying about Google's activity? Is their corrective advice mistaken or dishonest? For both i'd argue that no, unless you can point out the opposite. Thus, while yes, they're obviously selling their own service, this is a clear case of lesser bad and hardly worth criticizing.

Well horoscopes do tend to be general enough they might as well apply to nearly everybody, so I'd believe it.

Even if it's true, it would be a terrible move marketing-wise.

It's good for memoires, around a decade after the hype died down.

Or maybe someone will just crash an ice asteroid into the planet...

Being a layman too, as I understand it, it's because the deafness is caused by a single (mutated) gene which makes it (comparatively) easy to change. In this case, because the altered gene causes a necessary protein to be faulty or missing, gene transfer therapy can introduce a normal copy of the gene to recover the function of the protein.

For other diseases caused like this you're mostly right on the money - sometimes because while a single gene might be the culprit, the mechanism is unknown, sometimes mutations in some ‘single-gene disorders’ may not be in a single-gene at all, not to even mention other possible interactions or the risks inherent to gene therapy.

How some of these edible charms are described makes me think they were sorta like tablets or edible vaccines, except faith-based.

Unless someone actually used them as medicine and then just perscribed faith-based/supernatural powers to them (so people wouldn't complain/accuse them of being witches)
