Great point. This was the actual reason I didn't buy a surface.

If they had simply targeted RT at corporates and Pro at consumers this would have all turned out very differently.

A tablet with office and a web browser was a great idea for corporates...and then they prevented RT from joining domains.

Or running recompiled version of any LOB internal apps. They should have just made it proper windows and it could have been a hit.
