To me, the perfect balance between aesthetics, reliability and functionality is the Withings Activité. I've used both Fitbit and jawbone up previously. And I'm incredibly satisfied with my Withings watch.

I've had the pleasure of working with Per (mrborgen) for a couple of years when he was the non-technical founder of our startup. Seeing him transform himself from a bizdev guy to a skilled developer in practically no time is truly inspirational. If I were looking for a coder I'd choose Per before most of my friends with comp sci masters and 3+ years of consulting experience. Hats off!

If only horses existed, and you were the first to make a car, would it not be an apt comparison? With performance at 100k renderings per second you don't need to care about keeping the view in sync anymore?

I'm one of the other participants. It is true that the site does not have much content at all, we're just throwing something out there to get feedback from potential customers as quickly as possible. The idea is to let implementors/sites choose whether they will keep the reputation-system scoped to their site only, to a collection of sites (usually in the same space), or globally.

Our algorithm for calculationg reputation is an improved upon version of the attack-resiliant trust metrics of http://advogato.org.

Rereading How to Win Friends and Influence People (once again). That book never ages. May very well be the best book ever written. I'm guessing most of you have read it, but if you haven't, I urge you to order it right away! It will be your best purchase in a long time.

Also just finished Genome (http://www.amazon.com/Genome-Autobiography-Species-Chapters-...). Good read, but there are better books in the category.
