Is this only for US cities?

At the moment, it's only US locations.

cool beans! lots of stuff happening with OSS mapping rn!

crazy! wont be too long until this is here for major cities as well.

Prague is the capital of Czech Republic and has over 1.3 million inhabitants, so I'd say it qualifies as a "major city"

I love Prague and I spent a quarter of century living there, but its status as a major city depends on context.

In the list of world cities by population, it ranks 403rd.

https://infocartography.com/world-top1000-pop

For Czechs or Central Europeans in general, it is a major city, but not in worldwide context.

On the other hand, Prague would be much higher if the official population number was accurate at all - since this official statistic in Czechia relies purely on the number of registered people and does no further analysis. There's over a million people more than the official number says - that's well known even to the government. Analysis of mobile device traffic and other stuff like that suggests multiple millions.

I'd definitely say it's a major EU city. Maybe even a major The West city. I agree that it's hard to compare it to places in Asia, though.

Hard to trust a map which places "Bali, Indonesia" where "Paris, France" should be.

sounds amazing!

how is 1500 H100's considered "one of the worlds most powerful AI supercomputers" ? i dont get how that adds up. meta got 150.000 H100's delivered in 2023 alone?

ONE of the worlds most powerful AI supercomputers - I think it would get on the first page of the (November) top 500 list: https://www.top500.org/lists/top500/list/2023/11/

It would be cool. But it is so many already-opensourced things that needs to go together in a good way... i think thats palantirs MOAT

Obviously they did not get "wiped" out. Where can i use Sora right now ?

Hmmmm. If i want to do larger scale extractions of OSM data into a layer - what's the move? I remember someone on here posted a way to do it

I wrote https://github.com/twpayne/osm-extract for exactly this.

I typically download a pbf extract, and then use the osmium cli for local filtering.

Then I use ogr2ogr to convert to whatever output format I need.

Zoom in mate!
