Really impressive, congratulations. How many hours of TLC went into building this?

Both of themes movies center around fraud. Surely you can find something else?

I meant that as a joke, sorry. (My my British sense of humor)

I'll find another clip. Thanks.

Looks like a European university. Would love to see that same study done on the U.S. population...

Some data points: the FIRE movement.

How many people have quit working as soon as they are able?

It is essentially the same question and the answer appears to be quite a few, with a few odd people who are unable to do nothing.

I mean... 90 billion and this is the best he could come up with? An award for one YC company per batch. I guess it's kind of cool, but it's unremarkable at best.

This is a cynical take but a reasonable sentiment.

The charitable/giving nature of this hyper large organizations is pale relative to their size.

I think this is a something fundamentally missing from the DNA of these companies.

“Waaa rich people don’t do anything to help others”

Rich person does a thing

“No that’s not enough you must do more! This is crap”

Why would anyone choose to help us peasants if this is how we react?

I didn't say it's crap. It said it's unremarkable. He is welcome to do (or not do) w/e he wants.

I guess it's supposed to be a close mentorship, in which case the low mentor-to-mentee ratio is a plus.

Here is a list of the author's work. This is very consistent with "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" and numerous bodies of work that highlight the tactics used. This essay (if not an academic article) was interesting for providing more context and subtext around the drivers for the movement. It's honestly a political and economic masterclass regardless of your ethical position. https://www.jasonhickel.org/#/academic-work/

Seems high

Clearly you have not heard of memes, the only currency that matters.

Thought this was a great piece on options worth reading in a time where many are getting laid off and/or options are under water.

This is wishful thinking at best.

We've been working on https://www.unstack.com to provide one comprehensive toolset for building and scaling up a static site. Would love to hear feedback from HN.
