Holos[1] is an interesting project I’ve been looking at trying out.

1. https://holos.run/

I've looked at Holos recently

1. it seems like development has largely ceased since Sept

2. it looks to only handle helm, not terraform, I'm looking for something to unify both and deal with dependencies between charts (another thing helm is terrible at)

Any testflight link?

What about the storage? Is it using Raid? Does blocksize matter? What filsystem is used?

Every storage device is independent (no RAID), and runs UFS. We use UFS because, unlike ZFS, it integrates directly with the kernel page cache.

Which is part of the reason sendfile doesn’t work well for ZFS.

I also look for github links, especially for sysadmins, it can give an insight of how they solve things. Bonus points for pull requests.

However, if the person doesn't have a profile, or an inactive one, I don't put any weight on it, it's more an alternative way instead of asking interview questions for me.

It sure is! go with train and buy the first class ticket :)

Fujitsu fp-2200 can print 400mm/s, it's quite mind boggling how fast the paper comes out :)

Also if you hold feed while power on you get a interactive menu, printed on paper. Probably works on Epson printers also

If it's real it does make sense, same single core score and double multicore compared to m1 max

doesn't that make sense? as i understand it the M1 ultra is two M1 Max's fused together... so wouldn't that be what to roughly expect?

I think so. They talked about some of the engineering around the fusing of the two but who knows how that would translate to Geekbench points, lol.

What default settings are missing in your opinion?

> EU iPhones come with an adapter.

Source? Since 2009 I probably had 8 iPhones or so, never seen or heard about any adapter

I don't know if it's what the author of this comment meant, but iphone chargers have an USB plug and the charging cable is a USB - Lightning cable. But it's the case everywhere no?

It might differ per country. In NL it has been the case. The latest comes with an USB-C -> lightning cable [1]. I think the micro-USB might have been around iPhone 7 era.

Wait until he finds out about /dev/tcp :)

It actually blew my mind after doing Linux for 10 years. "Everything is a file" isn't a lie.

/dev/tcp is a lie though. It's not actually a file, it's implemented directly in bash.
