The "low-resolution multitouch" thing was interesting. I would really like a keyboard that doubles as a touchpad. I want a mouse closer to my fingers. (but I hate the nub)
You could install sip droid on an unlocked android like the adp1 (or install unknown sources on a carrier phone) or go with any number of sip clients for pdas. Then you still need to provision a line for the other end of the sip connection, but you'll have a pda that can make calls.
Lol. I just realized that the [scribd] tag was a separate link, and not a warning that the entire link was to scribd. I guess not everyone hates scribd as much as me.
I've had the same experience, and had been avoiding such links as well. Regarding your 'hate', though, it may be worth noting that Scribd is a Ycombinator company.
Are you suggesting that people should not express dislike of YC-funded companies here? I don't think we really want to encourage the creation of taboos like than here.
No, I was suggesting the presence of links to Scribd may not be intended solely a convenience to the current HN audience. I do think there is some self-suppression occurring regarding YC companies, though. This is a good thing if it encourages more thought as to phrasing, and a bad thing if it creates a taboo.
I imagine that eventually Palm will figure out a way to provide native access to the features he wants.
I just hope Palm is more developer friendly than Apple. Specifically, I don't want to have to deal with certificates and the App Store anymore, but I'm skeptical of Palm making it that open.
