This certainly is a possibility and something we will closely observe over time.
I do also wonder, if someone who feels unhappy in their job is more likely to sign up to our service, that someone who is not. This could be a side effect of the product being something that is currently just aimed at individuals for their own personal use.
Fascinating read - nicely done. Interesting suggestion that planning objections were late possibly because the media outlets that wanted the tower also suppressed news about its construction!
I agree with much of this, especially api simplicity. I usually reach for openCSV for the same reason.
Definitely applaud the effort, and it would be good to extend the test corpus in terms of record length and escape complexity. I do think 3M records is on the low side. Good to see scale tests for 1OM, 100M, 1BN records too.
They're mostly operating on streams, so at some point (based mostly on how GC is managing, I imagine) the speed will be constant per-row regardless of the record count.
My 6 yr-old daughter asked me to get rid of a spider from her room. In I went with a "ho ho ho, of course dear" fatherly attitude to find a mature female Black Widow sat on the rocker switch of her bedside lamp. I calmly asked my little girl to go fetch her mother.
I know the feeling. Once last year my four year old refused to go to sleep, yelling about monsters in his room. Somewhat exasperated, I went into his room and turned on the light to find the biggest scorpion I'd ever seen crawling up his wall. I had a hell of a time arguing with him when he got convinced about monsters lurking for six months afterwards.
Big scorpions are not dangerous. The most dangerous scorpions tend to be smaller ones. This I leaned from Sahara desert natives. I found a small one under a rock and played with it. Those people got crazy at me.
I moved to the US four years ago from the UK, and I think four way stops are wonderful. I've yet to experience the disorder suggested. I grip the wheel, narrow my eyes and approach with extreme caution. I like think everyone else does too.
