Just curios - Outside of "AI", what's the benefit of using your app over Beanconqueror (https://beanconqueror.com/), which is open source, has a lot of functionality built out already across multiple years and supports integrations with scales, refractometers, etc?
Full respect to Beanconqueror! It’s an amazing tool for advanced coffee folks: open source, extremely customizable and supporting Bluetooth gear like scales and refractometers. We admire what they’ve built.
We’re trying things from a different angle:
We’re building for entry to mid-level coffee lovers—people who want to enjoy better coffee, stay organized, and reflect on their brews.
Most tracking apps start with forms. We start with senses, we thinking a lot what coffee looks like in our mind.
What makes BeanBook different:
- Snap-first design: No typing required.
- YouTube/photo to recipe
- Sensory-first interface
- Zero-config start
We want to build a Coffee app as a memory, not just numbers
We think there’s room for both kinds of tools:
Beanconqueror is like a cockpit for pros.
BeanBook is more like a beautifully illustrated notebook that fills itself in as you brew.
We tried most of the mainstream models. Currently, we are choosing the Gemini. if you scan, you'll have a call for now, but we are building a new solution to optimize the workflow
This is a good example too. A baker cannot be forced to do unusual or creative work he doesn't like, but refusing to sell pre-made cake, or refusing to do routine customizations (like selecting colour or text if these are always done for other customers), is wrong. So as far as i can tell from wikipedia article the decision of US court was wrong, and the situation republicans find themselves in, is in a way deserved.
I am not from US, and I think it's really sad that most people think, that by opinion on one issue it is possible to infer opinions on all the other issues. Social media makes it too easy to create echo chambers, and see only strawman versions of other sides arguments, freedom of speech and tolerance is the only way to heal the society.
Deaths are not reported based on residency - Deaths are reported based on the actual location of death. If the death occurs in Florida, it counts as a Florida Death as per CDC / NCHS.
> What’s more, the health department has said it is only including Florida residents in its count, although after the Times’ report it began posting some data on non-resident deaths in feeds online.
> “By their own admission, they are not counting every Florida death,” Nelson said. “I’m surprised that they are ahead.”
While tastes are subjective, and there are a lot of variables involved, the Decent espresso does pull a solid shot. The reviews so far are pretty positive.
On a similar note, getting 5% Cash Back each month on my modest AWS bills is certainly a nice perk with my Amex Amazon card, in addition to the 5% cashback on amazon & whole foods purchases.
Depends which airlines you fly internationally - A lot, if not all, of american airlines are increasingly moving towards removing first class from their international flights & having business class as their premium cabin offering - e.g. Delta with DeltaOne or United with Polaris. If you want to truly experience first class, it'd have to be one of the middle eastern airlines or British Airways, Singapore Airlines and the likes.
