varnish has supported disk based caching for quite a long time, it's just that all the instances at tumblr are configured to only use memory.

I'm really excited to see scoobi listed here as it's something I have really grown to love over the last couple of years. I find that it's very flexible and end up using it for jobs that do more unconventional mapred things.

NoSQL is only a stepping stone to NoQuery, it's going to be awesome

if there was no caps lock key, what would i remap to ctrl? =p

no this is not a typo.

this comment cost $3629 american dollars.

$2500 (map pro) + $999 (apple display) + $50 (1 month of fios) + $50 (espresso machine) + $30 (coffee)

the site is in reference to sopa, which is (unfortunately) an american bill. i promise you don't have to work for McDonald's.

Even though SOPA is an American bill it still has a very big impact on the internet for citizens in every other country.

That being said I think it still makes sense for the site to just list American entrepreneurs/developers/designers/etc.

Agreed. This is intended to make SOPA's impact on American jobs clear to our politicians.

stop sopa, or find new jobs!

woah, that guy on their front page is serious stuff.
