Growing up I was always astounded by how fast my Mother could take notes and remember so many details based on what looked like a bunch of crazy scribbles to me. I had always wanted to learn it but never took the time as I got older. Might be something worth checking out.

Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but I just stumbled upon the Dat project myself.

Thanks! A system after my own heart, it even uses a Merkle tree instead of a blockchain <3

Does this have a system that allows users to keep ownership of their personal data?

Yes, the data is owned by you and signed for ownership attribution. AFAIK there is no "remove my data from the network", as it is a public network.

You should also check out Beaker Browser. It is a browser built around the dat protocol. Really great community and even has a few decentralized social networks already.

I was thinking the same thing while reading through this essay. I know the firm he works for (A16Z) is investing in the cryptocurrency area and even just did a podcast[0] on it.

Regardless of his opinion, he probably should have added a one-liner as to why it he didn't think it relevant. Otherwise he leaves the reader wondering did he forget? or not think it will have impact? or feel it's outside the scope of what he''s discussing? Regardless, it was an interesting read.

I haven't had home internet in well over five years and it is absolutely fantastic. I did it while in school so I could focus on getting reading and homework done and found that I really enjoyed it. I still use a smartphone but will leave it in another room if I want to read or focus on something other than tech.

The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. https://www.amazon.com/War-Art-Through-Creative-Battles/dp/1...

I have re-read this book constantly since purchasing it well over 10 years ago. The chapters on facing resistance and how to deal with it constantly resonate with me when working on my own projects.

I just ordered this book from Amazon a few days ago after constantly reading recommendations to read it. I am looking forward to cracking it open.

This is pretty fantastic. I was just thinking about diving into learning Django for an idea I want to build so this link is timely.

Best Django tut I have seen

I downloaded this about a year ago and loved it. Incredibly informative. Is this an updated version?

It gets continuously updated, so yes.

Nice. Will have to get it again. Thank you.

This is exactly what I have been doing as well over the past couple of weeks.

Take a look at this amazing repo filled with video courses: https://github.com/Developer-Y/cs-video-courses

Awesome. Can't wait to dig through this.
