I remember this well. Never seen smearing until then. Which included advocates of bitcoin and other coins for various reasons. Happened the week of Craig's outing by the people extorting him.

Here's some information class about he was teaching right until they scrubbed it: https://web.archive.org/web/20120430035605/http://www.itmast...

And another: https://archive.is/ttLth

This was on their youtube page: https://archive.is/gXPkX "Presented by Dr Craig Wright of Charles Sturt University and the Global Institute for Cyber Security + Research."

The SGI endorsement letter existed. I have a copy, but the web version was scrubbed. The remaining evidence is in the form of a copy of press release http://archive.is/cqI6S

'Teaching a class at' and 'receiving a degree from' an institution are two very different things. Not sure what these links are trying to prove or disprove?

Can one teach a Master class with out a Master’s degree?

Depends on the university but often yes.

If Craig Wright has a PhD you should be able to find his dissertation, look up his advisor/thesis committee, see his publications in CS conferences, etc.

Perhaps this is it?

Well if he submitted his thesis in 2017, he probably didn't have a PhD in 2015. Also there are several steps between submitting your thesis and getting your degree.

I suspect he may very well have considered himself 'basically done' with his PhD several years ago and just started using the title. He wouldn't be the first

Yep, that looks like it. And you can go from there to his advisor's home page and see he's listed as one of his PhD students:

I doubt most schools would hire a teacher unless at minimum they are pursuing a master's/doctoral if they don't have one.

"Many 2-year community colleges often hire instructors with only master’s degrees, as long as they have some teaching experience. Four-year colleges and universities usually require a doctoral degree, unless you have decades of experience in your field, in addition to a master’s." http://www.teachingdegree.org/types-of-teachers/higher-educa...

If you have such a copy of the SGI endorsement letter, why don't you post it? I don't think a press release written by Craig Wright is particularly compelling evidence.

That said, I don't actually doubt that the SGI letter exists, but also believe it was totally fabricated by Craig Wright.

There's a copy of the text here, not sure where you can find the PDF but the quote from the cloudcroft site is there:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3w8efk/wikileaks_s...

Two copies were out there. One on an sgi domain the other republished on his company cloudcroft. Don't want to go into the archive because it massive and messy. Easier to let it play out.

Bead blast? Is that a type of abrasive blasting? Why? Some kind of annealing?

It's not for the wafers, it's for the equipment. Parts get coated up with various substances, and then have to get stripped back as part of regular maintenance. One of those substances is arsenic.

To sandblast the oxide layer off the GaS ingots.

Whoa there, cowboy. GaAs doesn't really make an oxide, and the last thing you want to do to an ingot is bead-blast it. You want to be in a room full of GaAs dust?

Sounds like another funding round.

Acetic acid and Butyric acid. Used for those clear tool handles. [1][2] It gets nastier once you realize you are smelling the odor of vomit with hints of vinegar.

Thanks so much for that! I've been wondering for years what that unique smell (from various clear-handled Newtonian tools) was.

I guess it's used where clear or somewhat- clear plastic is used. But does BPA have the same smell over time?

No worse then a Hershey's chocolate bar...

For anyone unfamiliar with the connection, Hershey's milk chocolate is made with a process that produces butyric acid:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hershey_bar

it isn't that. my dad worked in biochemistry and that's what i'm talking about.

my shitty screwdrivers have the smell you're talking about.

My mistake -- I was thinking of a Newtonian work bench. :-)

Facebook is evil. They knew people would be posting videos killing themselves and let others watch. If you know anything about psychology; trauma and copycats. [1]

Facebook retains your data, and you can't do anything about it. I don't know how any engineers can work there knowing in their mind the delete button is a ruse -- or "incomplete functionality". From what i've observed there is active censorship especially in regards to negative statements of facebook (of which i'm sure they are aware of copycats).

This company has brought out the worst of society and they are deserving of justice -- or at least balance.

Adding to that, I recommend "Chasing Bubbles" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5254722/ full version here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibP5IQxId34). Watch it before reading the plot.

That's an incredible, and incredibly moving, film.

This was really fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

In retrospect: No. Prior art.

They abused the system for their own gain, while at the same time "retarding the development of aviation".

"The Wrights' preoccupation with the legal issue hindered their development of new aircraft designs, and by 1910 Wright aircraft were inferior to those made by other firms in Europe. Indeed, aviation development in the U.S. was suppressed to such an extent that when the country entered World War I no acceptable American-designed aircraft were available, and U.S. forces were compelled to use French machines."

"The lawsuits damaged the public image of the Wright brothers, who previously had been generally regarded as heroes." [1]

[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wright_brothers_patent_war

The Wright patent holding back the US airplane industry is a myth, as demonstrated by industrial data from the period:

http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2355673

In fact, a lot of airplane innovation was happening in the US during that era despite the patent being in force. For instance the seaplane was invented in the US (by Curtiss, the Wrights' most bitter foe.)

Also their patents were challenged repeatedly and, despite being interpreted broadly, upheld repeatedly because they actually were that much of an improvement over the prior art.

Humorously expanding on that:

boo = surprises

eat = gluttony

esq = lawyers

page = egocentricity

"gloomy" is quite subjective...

I've never observed street light color making driving at night annoying; for the 3-5 second interval the yellow is on.

Just curious, have you ever been tested for color blindness?
