The CEO gives off failed surfer dude vibes but the company is allegedly worth $11 billion? Laughable, and I (almost) feel bad for whoever funded that most recent round.

Yea, I've also been thinking about this one a bit lately. Really thought it had a shot, but the runway ran out.

Any quality reading you could direct one to on the latter, would be interesting/appreciated!

Generally I avoid Mercola, but I have Dr Fung's book and it's pretty rigorous...so skeptically optimistic

Yea, that sure was nice while it lasted :-|

So... most legitimate use of blockchains I have come up with would be authentication of digital video/photography content. I sure hope folks are working on that too

I read this as "incompetent democracy" and laughed because it sure feels like that lately

If no one votes or too many idiots are voting then you could say the process has become incompetent.

People forget that by not voting they are actually agreeing with every policy going forward. By actually voting you are saying that one side had better policies.

Disturbingly a lot of people who are unhappy with the outcome also didn’t vote and that is incompetence.

I’d still like to vote for policies rather than candidates. The successful candidate would then be chosen based on policy alignment etc.

I'll just say that the friends I have who have gone in to teaching...sure work a lot of hours on weekends to be ready for their weeks

> ...is therefore not a Russian spy. Hopefully you're right - lotta respect for how eloquent and well-spoken that kid was given the enormity of the pressures on him. As the years have passed, I'm a bit less sure about the motivations however.

If you've got evidence, or even a coherent rationale, that would cast doubt on his motives - I'd love to hear it. No, fleeing to the only country that would be out of the reach of a president who prosecuted more whistleblowers (and reporters) than every prior administration combined... that isn't evidence of Snowden being a Russian spy. That would be like insisting that a prisoner who accepts food from his captor is also expressing approval for his captivity.

BTW, looking back at all the articles about Obama's legacy in regard to whistleblowers, written after the election - darkly predicting that Trump will start jailing reporters because Obama had established the precedent... lol.

Do you think as we continue to get better about detection, that we'll find an increasing array of slow-growing tumors present in much of the body? I.e. ones that may not need a full round of radiation / chemo for perhaps 5 years and perhaps more targeted approaches can be deployed?

Just something i've been wondering about since I've got cancer on both sides of family and have been pondering doing full-body scans (which still seem quick excessive on the risk/reward)
