This is absolutely awesome. As someone who has used Gather a bit, this blows it out of the water. Incredibly intuitive and fun way to move around and talk to your friends and coworkers. Yes! I was doing this for awhile, but I am extremely lazy and didn't want to dig through my photos to find the screenshot. Plus, I wanted to tag in on my apple watch.
I encoded all the lat/longs of the FitnessSF locations into the Mobile Pass, so it'll just pop up on your phone when you're nearby. Saves me precious seconds :)
You're right the QR code doesn't change - neither does the mobile pass! You just have to generate the mobile pass once and never visit my silly website again.

I was doing this too! But as a true millennial I had two complaints:
1. I still had to load the photo app when I approached the gym, which annoyed me. The lat/long encoded in the mobile pass just has it pop up when I'm nearby.
2. I wanted to be able to leave my phone at home and just use my apple watch.
Additionally, the code never changes so you never have to update the mobile pass or visit my dumb website again.
