We tested it at my last job maybe 5 months ago and it was a complete failure. Granted we didn't spend a lot of cycles on it, but we saw how slow it was and went back to native hardware pretty quick.

What's wrong with VirtualBox? We switched from ESXi to VirtualBox this year and liked it better already, but now with these changes at VMWare, we REALLY like that decision.

They are fundamental to the operation of GSM / CDMA networks. Patent portfolio's like these in the mobile arena are pretty well only trumped by Qualcomm's, TI's, and probably Motorola's.

My opinion though is that the actual interaction to the cell network is not solely done by android, but by the chipset on the phone mostly. They could sue Google I'm sure, but I bet people like Motorola and Qualcomm would have something to say about that to protect Google and Androids chip purchasing wallet.

Well thanks for saying that, we are excited to have him.

How do you know they didn't research their user base and find out that more people used OSX than any other OS?

I can honestly say I do not know a single dev who uses windows for development, everyone is on Linux or OSX. My unscientific data is probably as good as yours. So I wouldn't be surprised if they looked at their browser data and realized OSX was a pretty big market.

Not that this at all the same, or that I support what Lolzsec is doing, but I think there were a lot of African Americans at the start of the Civil Rights movement who didn't want people to speak up for fear of there being harsh consequences.

You're dead right, it's not at all the same ...

When you look at the $1bil they made last year in funding, and what amount they listed in their IPO paperwork, they certainly look and feel like a ponzi scheme. I hope they are not, but it feels that way. I'm staying as far away from that stock as possible.

This is true only if you make up a new definition of "ponzi scheme."

I disputed this same point last week: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2617760

If you follow their twitter, they are trying to be ironic. They took down some of the irc servers again to be funny the day before.
