Why can't a sovereign state control their fiscal policy? Who should decide what the value of the Renminbi should be if not the PBC?

Currency debasement is more monetary policy than fiscal policy I think. Either way I didn't read the GP comment as saying China can't do that, just that doing so is what gave them an edge long enough to gobble up a lot of our trade.

The same reason a sovereign state can't act unilaterally in any domain -- diplomacy. If your actions affect another (or even just inspire interest) then the other party may make decisions which affect your country.

This is the real issue.

Blame is for small children and God. Moloch will require his sacrifice regardless of whom you choose to blame.

Not with that attitude you can't.

Ironically I could see that idea being used in "hard authoritarian" style: a state could require that people MUST have distinct and uniquely registered faces to allow tracking via facial recognition.

I love that nuclear is just far too dangerous when it comes to powering peoples homes. Obsoleting workers with AI however.....

Could you elaborate with sources?

I suspect much of the perception of nuclear being too dangerous comes from the fossil fuel energy lobby.

I think we have enough real examples of its dangers

I was being sarcastic. I'm pro nuclear.

Humans use soul juice to connect to the understandome. Machines can't connect to the understandome because of Gödels incompleteness, they can only make relationships between tokens. Not map them to reality like we can via magic.

It would be something like breaking bad but cut intentionally to you specific responses. A drama you can't look away from.

It will be like wirehacking, but in visual form.

Does it correct for housing costs?

Fasted state?

Why stop at pre-industrial. We can go extra-natural. Naturally most forests were grazed at by large roaming herbivores.
