I hope the end state of self driving will be buses or vans doing on demand routing like Uber Pool is supposed to be but on a larger scale and maybe with fewer points for pickup and drop off.
When I took an operations research class our teacher mentioned they had done a study on Rome's traffic and the best solution (optimizing for travel time etc) was mini-buses (~20 people) serving shorter routes.
Alas, nothing came of that study, and traffic in Rome has not improved in the incurring ~30 years.
I generally agree if the content can be kept clean. Certainly, human users will have more to contend with.
There are just so many interesting questions by having chatbots interact with StackOverflow:
What happens when AI-powered accounts are allowed to vote?
What kind of questions might AI-powered accounts be asking or be interested in?
How will the questions/answers/responses change between model revisions?
You can imagine things spiraling out of control.
Perhaps there needs to be a chatbot version of StackOverflow to service all the questions that interest chatbots. :P
Although I find instructional videos helpful in understanding concepts, the knowledge is fleeting. Exercises would be helpful, but IMHO, sometimes you need the support of a cohort or TA to solve problems in a different way.
MOOCs are pretty good. They have instructional videos, exercises and a cohort. Still, they seem to be missing something. AI will push online learning to 2.0.
For knowledge workers, on-site today seems a lot like off-site of yesteryear. This time it's an unscheduled, unscripted team-building exercise, where you pay to attend and a fraction show up.
Lots to figure out. Exciting times for HR and recruiters.
