"Unified Rules" is followed by MMA organizations in the USA. It's a set of rules most state athletic commissions have agreed on over the years. It is a horrendous rule set and judging system for MMA.

These replies are pretty wild lol. "Dooms Day is imminent so chug poison you naive fool! Only if you knew what was really happening you'd be chugging poison to prepare!"

What's wild is there are alleged adults navigating the world that simply refuse to acknowledge the current state of play globally, which in turn guarantees most if not all of the worst outcomes folks who are actually paying attention are concerned about.

Several rate cuts are expected this year. Based on Jerome Powell's speech yesterday, March cuts are unlikely, today's data would confirm that. Rate cuts likely beginning over summer depending on the data over the next few months.

Maybe I'll try Kagi. I've had a hell of a time googling docs lately. I've been experimenting with different libraries on somde side projects and it feels like I'm always scrolling past stuff like GeeksForGeeks and various sites that look like some sort of AI generated stuff just to get to official docs or github links.

It's great. I find Google better when I'm actually looking for products, though that's partly it's not as good as localizing results. The nice thing is you can just whack g! in front of the query and it'll bump you over to Google. It's fast, nice, no ads.

Lack of history is a pro or a con or both depending on personal preference.

I have been happy with Kagi -- Like that I can change the site rankings on the results.

I've been a happy Kagi user for a few months now. As someone else has already mentioned, shopping etc is often better elsewhere, but for 95% of my search I use Kagi exclusively.

awesome. i'm trying to get better at coding myself and going to try a financial project soon. i wanted to do something with the current earnings reports coming out but that'll probably have to wait til next quarter at the rate i'm moving

Just do it bit by bit and eventually it will get done faster thank you think. I'm working on this since May 2022 so it's been a massively long road.

Good luck, man!

yeah probably so. tough time to be making a career change back into tech after 8 years out lol
