Interesting. I don't see any iOS support, and unfortunately it doesn't seem to be maintained.

Could you explain cloudflare tunnels are secure. I understand not punching holes through one's firewall and dealing with a residential connection that's often targeted for exploits. However, if one targets the tunnel endpoint to exploit is it more secure even though it's still exposed to the public?

Secure how? You're exposing a port to the Internet, the tunnel doesn't make it more or less secure. If you don't trust the service, don't expose it.

Let's try to generate some data to back up your experience.

So, let's test the quality of your internet connection with a long test. Run the following. https://speed.cloudflare.com/ it'll graph the speed and quality of the connection of the internet and wait till it settles. ( Wi-Fi is going to inconsistent compared to a wired Ethernet connection.)

Once the connection looks reasonably stable, then try calling and seeing if the graph changes significantly! Obviously, you can rerun it multiple times to experiment.

Local inference only is an absolute requirement. It's not even really all that accessible if it's online only. I can say this as someone that's used over 20000 hours worth of voice dictation and computer control.

Great, when my power strip dies, so does my TV!

Recently a friend was charging about six different items off of his PC. Not mentioning the poor charging rate. I said to him, hey, maybe you want to get a dedicated charging hub for 40 bucks instead of putting wear and tear on the $250 motherboard and power supply. Just because you can, doesn't always mean you should.

if the wattage is to be believed I bet we'll have no consequences encountered running gaming machines off the display ports of a famously cheaply made generation of tvs with no chassis insulation/earthing, through a cable that'll likely be made lowest-bidder style. Remember those videos of the old apple chargers glowing and sparking when bent?

I've been waiting for something like this. Have you considered the following based on the benchmark data that's submitted beyond the GPU?

1. User selects a model, size and token output speed and latency. The website generates a hardware list of components that should match the performance requirements.

2. User selects hardware components and the website generates a list of models that performant on that hardware.

3. Monetize through affiliate links the components to fund the project. Think like PC part picker.

I know there's going to be some variability in the benchmarks due to the software stack, but it should give a AI enthusiasts, an educated perspective on what hardware can be relevant for their use case.

Right now the main priority is just getting the data out, but in the future may have some interest in this. Or perhaps we can open an API for others to build this as well

Your appliances are your next smart TV.

You know, my GE oven won't do the air frying mode without Wi-Fi.

I would deeply love an FTC complaint for false advertising if the box claims it has air frying but attempting to use it in your cabin in the woods doesn't

ed: err, I guess under a different FTC, I guess

Is cursor all that different from Microsoft Copilot vscode Extension?

When I helped people migrate to Thunderbird, the number one missing feature is simply the focused inbox provided by Gmail. Unfortunately it ends up being a deal breaker.
