I’m sure they’ll work with anyone willing to pay

I’m confused, I’ve been using 3rd party app stores on Android for years now?

From the article:

> Google will have to distribute rival third-party app stores *within* Google Play

Right now you have to side-load 3rd party apps.

Also Google must:

> * Stop requiring Google Play Billing for apps distributed on the Google Play Store

> * Let Android developers tell users about other ways to pay from within the Play Store

> * Let Android developers link to ways to download their apps outside of the Play Store

> * Let Android developers set their own prices for apps irrespective of Play Billing

Not as a first class citizen.

* It's only recently you could have unattended updates of applications.

* It was not possible to distribute additional app stores in Google play, third party stores had to utilize sideloading which includes "scary" warning messages

* Googles terms and conditions essentially required the play store be installed by default by vendors.

Might be a good lesson for the world they will enter…see the average customer support experience from large companies these days.

Once they've applied once their resumes are on file. These companies can always reach out to a candidate at a later date

That's somewhat short-sighted, because many good candidates aren't on the market long.

You’re the only one bringing up politics

It is not about a particular politician--or are you reading this a particular way because of a truth about your favorite candidate you know, but do not want to be said?

That only makes sense if cash is the only form of payment a business accepts

True, but if they accept credit cards then customers will rarely pay with cash. We assumed here cash is a major transaction method, since otherwise their cash management costs are minimal.

M is 1,000 in Roman numerals. MM is short for M*M, so 1,000 * 1,000 = 1,000,000 or MM.

The M lives on in languages like Spanish where the word mil means one thousand.

This somewhat misses the point of my comment, tough. The post was written in English, so one should stick to how English represents millions.

Based on that, I can say `1.000.000` is equal to MM because Brazil uses `.` to separate groups of 3 digits, and `,` to separate integer and decimal parts.

My point is to stick to using the units the language you're writing on uses.

Btw, thanks for explaining the origin of MM! I definitely didn't know that.

mm as an abbreviation is still the standard in finance, so still very relevant in English

engineers tend to interpret it as

   million * million = terra
   10^6 * 10^6 = 10^12
because the suffix m or M is associated with million or 10^6 in the international system of units.

No one said they had to hook the cameras up to a gaming PC. That’s an engineering choice

>Your opposing a tax cut does not make it a "scam".

The scam part comes from how the tax cut was marketed to Americans

Ok, sure if you’re an idiot and you go past Brooklyn you could end up in Queens
