Yes, but it's not going to happen. One of the (many) problems with a dictatorship is the lack of rule of law and what that means for giving up power. There is no such thing as a safe retirement plan, Xi and his loyalists would be at the mercy of the next ruler.
Leaders in such systems almost always surround themselves with loyalists and cling to power, especially as they age and their effectiveness diminishes.
This actually sounds like a good counter-espionage tool. Feed all you can find about an adversary into a LLM and ask it what the adversary would do in present or hypothetical scenarios. Tweak from differences and you can peer inside their "thoughts".
My guess is that this could be used as a judge for censorship. So theoretically this could displace a lot of Chinese who have those jobs. And might be more strict.
Although, I am sure much of it is already automated. This would probably be able to handle more subtle dissent though.
Well, they already had the Xictionary, a "dictionary" of Xi-related words, thoughts and quotes. I guess a complete LLM based on the CCP cult leader is the next new quality productive force in this whole-process people's democracy. I wonder what the LLM will say about the free and independent country Taiwan, the Tibet invasion, the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre or the current Uyghur genocide. Probably as speechless as the Xictionary?
