So real journals can't issue corrections?



Once upon a time corrections were issued as separate articles. This was move because you didn't have to keep returning to the same article for ongoing corrections or updates. And publishers can be sure everyone reads the same article, when there's only one version.

This has the added bonus of not expecting the reader to come back to the article multiple times to ensure that they receive the latest
